Michelle is an experienced litigation and dispute resolution practitioner, who practices predominantly in commercial and civil matters in the South Australian, Federal and Northern Territory Courts.
She has particular experience and expertise in media law, and is frequently briefed by media and private clients in relation to pre-publication advice and defamation disputes. She also has broad experience in managing, resolving and litigating disputes involving contracts, real and intellectual property, statutory claims under consumer and corporations law, partnerships, trusts, common law and equitable duties, and contested deceased estates.
Prior to joining the independent bar in 2019, Michelle practised in a top tier commercial firm in Adelaide for over 10 years, managing a broad range of complex commercial disputes, and undertook a secondment in-house in Sydney for a major media organisation. In addition to her legal qualifications, she holds a bachelors degree in biotechnology.
