Meshal has a wide-ranging commercial and public law practice, including competition and consumer protection matters, regulatory litigation, and corporations and insolvency law.
He also advises on defamation, media and intellectual property matters, and acts in employment and industrial disputes.
Meshal has developed particular expertise in corporate governance and was recognised in Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in Australia for Corporate Law in 2026.
Meshal brings practical governance experience as a former Board Member and Treasurer of a national not-for-profit organisation, where he oversaw financial governance, regulatory compliance, and organisational risk, including issues relating to privacy, data protection, and reputational management.
He has substantial practical and academic experience in administrative and public law, which informs his approach when advising on complex questions of statutory and contractual interpretation.
In addition to his practice at the Bar, Meshal serves as a Sessional Tutor in Contract Law at Flinders University.
Meshal holds a Bachelor of Laws and Legal Practice from Flinders University and a Master of Laws from the University of Sydney. He is currently undertaking a Higher Degree by Research at the University of Sydney, focusing on competition and consumer law.
