Mark Roberts KC is a trial and appellant advocate, specializing in common law.

He has a particular interest in cases involving medicine, institutional abuse and dust-related diseases. Mark frequently appears in complex workers’ compensation matters and catastrophic injury claims, as well as in intricate medical malpractice and professional negligence litigation. He is known for taking on challenging cases that often involve novel legal arguments and complex scientific evidence. Mark has also appeared in numerous complicated coronial inquests

As a LEADR-trained mediator, Mark brings additional expertise to his practice. Based in Adelaide, he maintains a national practice with chambers in Perth and Darwin. His clients include state governments and government agencies, major insurers, corporate entities, and individuals..

Mark is actively involved in education, teaching at universities both in Australia and internationally. He also works with the Australian Advocacy Institute and the Australian Bar Association, teaching advocacy. Mark is a regular presenter at seminars for the Law Society, the Bar Association, law firms, and other organizations. He takes an active role in mentoring young lawyers and barristers.

In addition to his legal practice, Mark serves as Chairman of the South Australian Bar Association’s Professional Responsibility and Bullying, Discrimination, and Harassment Committees. He is actively involved in policy development in these areas. Outside of the law, Mark is an avid sailor, competing internationally, and a passionate, albeit average, golfer.
