About

John has been a legal practitioner for over 40 years. He has been at the independent bar since 1997.

John has worked as an advisor to various Ministers in the Commonwealth Government. John has served as Deputy Premier of South Australia, Attorney General, Planning Minister and in numerous other ministerial roles.

In those capacities, he has undertaken many complex law reform projects including the establishment of SACAT, introduction of the Return to Work Act, and Planning reforms.

John was appointed as a part-time Senior Member of the Administrative Review Tribunal commencing in February 2021. He continues to practice from Murray Chambers.
